Approach to Environmental Sustainability

Hannigan Facility Services has significantly improved its environmental performance over the past four years, with a commitment to continuous improvement in reducing carbon footprint and environmental impact. The company has hired an environmental consultant to achieve the ISO 14001 standard by March 2024. Hannigan is committed to sound environmental management, including meeting legislative, regulatory, and environmental codes, developing objectives for continuous improvements, incorporating environmental issues into decision-making, using eco-friendly products, educating staff, and promptly responding to environmental impacts.

Educating our Employees and Environmental Week

Staff undergo induction training, refresher training annually, monthly Toolbox Talks, and company environmental policies and waste management training, followed by on-site training on client-specific environmental processes and duties. The contract cleaning services sector aims for sustainable resource use, waste prevention, safe collection and recycling, and environmental considerations in policy and decision-making. We aim to lead the way in responsible environmental behaviour.
